GPX, the GPS Exchange Format, is supported by hundreds of software applications and Web sites, making it the standard format for interchanging GPS data between GPS receivers, desktop and mobile software, and Web-based services.

The GPX viewer is designed to show gpx files. You can load geo data from a gpx file and render it in the map viewer online. With gps viewer, you can easily open a gpx file and view tracks. This app is the windows 10 version of 'Gps navigator recorder' (more than 300.000 download in one year). With this app you can view GPX files (routes, tracks, point of interest) on a Windows 10 pc.
To demonstrate the process we're going to import GPX files. These are XML formatted files with a gpx extension. The detailed XSD definition is here. One look at the definition will tell you how complex and detailed a GPX file can be, and how much effort would be required to code and test the handling classes manually.
